Dr Margaret Cutajar is an experienced psychologist with over 16 years experience in public and private mental health. She specialises in treating anxiety in adults utilising a holistic cognitive-behavioural approach. Drawing on psycho-physiological principles and strategies, Margaret teaches clients how to shift out of a maladaptive stress response by working with the nervous system to get into a state of healing. From this calmer, non-threatening state, people are more receptive to being empathically confronted on their cognitive distortions and maladaptive schemas, while developing courage to take appropriate actions and form new behavioural patterns. It is therefore Margaret's aim to help her clients learn how to align their body and mind and act according to their values and higher potentials to positively transform their life.
