Provisional Psychologists are currently undertaking extensive training requirements to gain ctheir general registrationallowing Medicare Rabates for all patients. As part of the course requirements, provisional psychologists are responsible for planning and undertaking assessment and therapy to a number of clients across numerous presentations. This is under the supervision of a Psychology Board Approved Supervisor. Outlay costs for patients with appointments with Provisional Psychologists are significantly lower than for experienced clinicians as appointments do not attract Medicare Rebates. At HWC we understand that costs of Psychology appointments can be challenging.
